If you’re planning to get a Pap test at a Planned Parenthood clinic, you may be surprised to find that the appointment is only for the pregnant woman.
The reason for this is because, according to a spokesperson for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the CDC only requires a Planned PP clinic to have one appointment per woman who’s pregnant.
If you get the appointment at a clinic, the only thing you need to do is to bring your ID and fill out a form to confirm your pregnancy.
In fact, according a statement released by Planned Parenthood in response to the announcement, the clinic will only charge you a small fee for the test, and only one appointment will be needed for a pregnant woman to get the test.
However, there are some things to keep in mind if you’re pregnant, so make sure you read our tips for getting a good Pap test and getting your health care appointment.
