D.M. Martinez Jr. is scheduled to return to practice Tuesday, but it appears he will not be ready for the start of the season.
The first-year pro, who was the starter at left tackle for the Rams last season, will miss three weeks due to a left knee injury.
The injury is expected to sideline him for at least a few months.
The team confirmed the injury via a tweet Tuesday afternoon, saying:The Rams have made it clear they intend to play D.J. Martinez Sr. at left guard.
Martinez will need to take part in all three practices in a week.
